Milford is a city in Clermont and Hamilton counties, in the U.S. state of Ohio, along the Little Miami River and its East Fork. It is a part of the Greater Cincinnati metropolitan area. The first Methodist class in the Northwest Territory was begun there in 1797. Milford is located at 39°1030N 84°174W (39.174883, -84.284383). According to the United States Census Bureau, Milford has a total area of 3.86 square miles (10.00 km²) The Little Miami Bike Trail, which runs from Newtown to Springfield, Ohio, runs through Milford where several major hiking trails converge, including the American Discovery Trail, the Sea to Sea Long Distance Hiking Route, and the Underground Railroad Cycling Route. Area businesses and groups with substantial operations in Milford or adjacent townships include the headquarters of Penn Station sandwiches, Siemens Digital Industries Software, Total Quality Logistics, Overhoff Technology the North American headquarters of Tata, and The United Church of God. The city's main festival is Frontier Days, a crafts festival held every year in the early morning hours of the last Saturday in September. The population was 6,710 at the 2010 census. The racial makeup of the city was 94.6% White, 0.1% Native American, 08% Asian, 04% Hispanic or Latino of any race, and 1% from two or more races. The six neighborhood schools are McCormick, Meadowview, Mulberry, Pattison, Seipelt, and Smith. The Promont houses the Greater Milford Area Historical Society.

History

Milford is the primary city name, but also Day Heights are acceptable city names or spellings, Mt Repose on the other hand no longer accepted or obsolete and are no longer used as a designation. The official name is Milford, Ohio. Milford is located at 39°1030N 84°174W (39.174883, -84.284383). According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Milford has a total area of 3.86 square miles (10.00 km²), of which 3.73 sq miles (9.66 km²) is land and 0.12sq miles (0.31 km²") is water. The first Methodist class in the Northwest Territory was begun there in 1797. Milford is at the root of Methodist religious heritage westward from Appalachia. The Little Miami Bike Trail, which runs from Newtown to Springfield, Ohio, runs through Milford where several major hiking trails converge. The high school and junior high school share a scenic campus in the Miami Hills. The six neighborhood schools are McCormick, Meadowview, Mulberry, Pattison, Seipelt, and Smith. The Promont houses the Greater Milford Area Historical Society and yearbooks of all Milford classes. The city fairs are Milford Frontier Days, main festival at Art Affaire, a crafts festival, and the Milford Arts Festival at the Fairgrounds. The City of Milford was founded in 1788 by Dutch burgomaster John Nancarrow, who intended to found a city that should "become the future metropolis of the West" The first surveyor, Philip Gatch, sold his share of 230 acres of land for $920.00 in 1802.

It is the only city in New Mexico that is not on the National Highway System.
