The land that was used for that program makes up most of what is currently the Melbourne Orlando International Airport. If for simplification for example the tax rate is $14.00 and the home value is $250,000, the property tax would be $14.00 x ($250,000/1000), or $3500. This is the 'effective' tax rate.
